Touch International Launches New
Multi-Touch Initiative

Austin, TX - May 25, 2010 - Touch International, a leading touch screen manufacturer headquartered in Austin, Texas, announced today that effective immediately, all of its projected capacitive and resistive products will adopt multi-touch capabilities. Using its existing multi-touch technologies, which are comparable to those used with the Microsoft Windows 7 and Apple iPhone user interfaces, Touch International will make its standard products multi-touch capable.

“Based on market research and our customers’ needs, multi-touch capabilities are a requirement to compete in today’s touch screen market,” explains Gary Barrett, Touch International Chief Technology Officer. “Because of this, MulTI-Touch and MARS technologies are going to become our standard multi-touch product lines. We want to make sure that all of our customers have the most advanced capabilities at their fingertips.”

Touch International began building multi-touch products in January, launching the Multi-Touch Resistive MARS series, followed by the MulTI-Touch Projected Capacitive line, set to release in June. In addition to multi-touch capabilities, these products can be configured to work with pen, gloved finger or bare finger input, and used in cold, hot or wet weather conditions.

Available for demonstration at Display Week 2010 in Seattle, Wash, May 25-27, learn more about Touch International’s new MulTI-Touch projected Capacitive Technology and Multi-Touch Analog Resistive MARS Technology at booth #1319.
