John Stetson Joins Touch International’s Exclusive CEO Council

AUSTIN, TEXAS - March 02, 2009 – Touch International announced the expansion of its North American sales team and creation of a “CEO Council” with the addition of John Stetson. John is a seasoned touch screen veteran and former sales and marketing manager with Gunze Corporation, a Japanese-based touch screen manufacturer.
John Stetson, Regional Sales Manager

“I have been associated with the touch screen industry since the early ’80’s when consumers had no clue what a touch screen was,” Stetson reminisced. “I’ve spent much of my career teaching people the value of touch and how to adapt it to their application. While some companies look at reasons things ‘can’t be done’, Touch International has emerged as a key market leader because they push technology and work with OEM customers on innovative ways to ‘get things done’.”

“John brings considerable leadership, experience and commitment to being a positive contributor to the company’s success,” said Michael Woolstrum, co-founder and CEO. “His military and aerospace touch screen sales background will be instrumental in our upcoming TI-Guard™ product line launch and other technology advancements.”

Stetson joins an exclusive “CEO Council” of experienced senior staff members, all coming to Touch International from numerous touch screen manufacturers, who are chartered to continue the company’s six-year tradition of 65 percent or more growth per year by expanding their respective market sectors.

“In North America, I’ve been able to build our US-based company to exceed $35 million while also driving our larger International business,” Woolstrum added. “Through the CEO Council, I’ve positioned great people to capitalize on our market position, product offering and strategic acquisitions from 3M and DuPont to ‘own’ and build their respective regions to $35 million each.”

The company’s sales team is focused on leveraging a diversified customer base in military, medical, aerospace, industrial and consumer touch screen applications with recent product announcements in market-leading resistive technology, iPhone-style projected capacitive, vandal proof shields and noise-reducing filters from our value-added touch systems group.

“Touch International is a component and systems solutions company. We distribute their products in Asia, Europe, Australia and throughout North America,” said Stephen Exell, Display Product Manager at Future Electronics. “I’m especially pleased Future is in John’s region as he has demonstrated sales and product acumen and provided outstanding support to us.”

Woolstrum’s “working class” management style is to lead aggressively, then duplicate through other passionate leaders. This has been demonstrated by the company’s explosive growth from eight people when the company was launched in 2002 to 1200 people by the end of 2008. Touch International is a privately held company with a strategic partnership and ownership in DMC Limited headquartered in Osaka, Japan and Touch International Pacific Limited based in Shenzhen, China.
